I think Ramel did not make an illogical blob charge there, he lost almost all his lights against very good Brit lines so quickly with a close musket ...his musketeers were worn as well, Wyms arty continuously firing his heavy expensive cav and also Wym was pushing hard muskets on Saxons ! as soon as Sigizmund moved to flank him and try to open a hole there also charging Saxons with 1 unit as well Ramel moved with 3 Grenadiers which were the last few left with him so he used few of his not worn units + his cav. Game was almost lost that time i think so it was a try and a good decision i guess. Brits firing that close to his Grenadiers he would have no hope there if he didnt charge ... so with my Grens and cav as well we got Brits tho Bavaria and Naples support were great. Anyway gg.

En effet, avoir des cuirassiers et des grenadiers russes en mêlée contre des Anglais, et perdre, je n'y arrive pas

In fact Wym we didnt camp anywhere cause it was Belgium 6 and my deployment was in the front ... i just moved back to link with Driant and Ramel before caught 2v1 to Cosak and Sigizmund and as expected they 2 were going to my DZ already quite fast ^^

Then wthout waiting Sigizmund entered the musket contact with Ramel, Brits were cheap lights, cheap cav but very good inf with Grenadier Guard, Black watch, Gordon highlander, Cameron highlanders,1st yorkshire,The faughs ... so Cosak was sending men behind Brits too i think if we did not charge with such an army they would charge anyway or close musket would kill us in seconds ...

But congrats to Hololo there i think just at the right time he sent vg inf with no mercy ! Course it is a defeat so there is nothing we can be proud of and we congratulate our opponents but timing for charge was good according to me vene could be a bit earlier before Bavaria and some Naples arrive for support though !? lol !

I think Wym is right... Though you had few options with your weak Saxon ally.

Hololo performed indeed very well, reacting quickly when asked to move somewhere and micro-managing nicely.

Gentlemen if we could stay on the hill and fire you i will gladly accept that but as soon as i linked with Ramel (as he was coming to left to link me) we charge the Brits. Sorry really i am confused what kind of camping this could be

Your side had little artillery, so no camping in this. What Wym and I mean is we had to reach that hill next to your DZ to start fighting. Once done, we were all aware you charged us.

It doesnt need to be a hill we just linked forces somewhere we meet at the shortest way as i didnt have road to join them so i was slow. Another strange map deployment anyway lol. Ramel and Saxon moved left but ye IPL was not familiar with ntw3 i guess ?

Years ago, when me and Cosak faced an IPL team for the first time, they just stayed in their deployment zone with artillery already on, we won and asked them why they weren't trying to move around the map, the answer was : "it is our strategy".

I remember that one: most boring battle ever.

It was against people thinking they were refined strategists by not moving an inch for the whole battle (with a shitload of deployed guns).

Coincidence or not: they are from Poland.
